Doorvestors differ by profile, but their end goal is always the same. The ideal Doorvestor is someone who’s looking to put their money to work and to grow their personal wealth. They have savings to invest (as little as $20k!) and they want to earn maximum returns.
While investing in real estate can seem complex, Doorvestors aren’t real estate savvy, well-established investors. Many currently rent their primary residences and live in high-cost of living coastal areas - think California, New York, and Seattle. Most of our first-time clients are purchasing their very first home with us, making their partnership with Doorvest even more valuable as we help manage the unknowns and mitigate any potential errors in the process.
While we have a wide range of Doorvestors, our average Doorvestor is between the ages of 25-45. It’s never too early (or too late!) to invest in real estate, and no matter where you are in your investment journey, Doorvest is here to help.
The right time to buy a home is different for each individual. No two Doorvestors have the same journey or financial makeup, but every Doorvestor has a few things in common: a small amount of capital, good credit, and a goal of long-term sustainable wealth.
We work with Doorvestors who have a minimum of $45K to invest as initial capital. This figure is invested directly into the property, and it’s used as the down payment for the home.
While you may have the capital to start the home-buying process with Doorvest, you’ll also need a decent credit score to successfully secure a loan. Our team recommends a credit score of at least 620 to qualify for traditional financing options for your mortgage.
